How i Got Here
From law professor to digital marketer: an unexpected journey driven by curiosity, continuous learning, and a genuine love of helping small businesses grow.
from law professor to digital marketer
After around 20 years working in law and higher education, and thirsting for a change, I started a small online tutoring business while I figured out what I wanted to do next. Don’t get me wrong, working with students was rewarding and I was good at it, but I’d been doing it for a long time. It was time for my next Madonna reinvention… but I didn’t quite know what then.
What I knew was that I whatever business I was in I wanted to learn how to become more visible and achieve great results. So, not to be one to do anything in half-measures, I joined an intensive, hands-on digital marketing training programme led by an experienced U.S. digital marketer. The programme was designed to equip its graduates with the practical skills to launch careers in digital marketing, but I joined with a much simpler goal: to learn how to market my own business.
What happened next can only be described as the beginning of what has become a major love affair with digital marketing.
I love the blend of creativity, problem-solving, and analysis that the field brings. It satisfies my inner geek, and I genuinely enjoy helping people solve problems and achieve positive results for their businesses.
Today, I help sole traders and small businesses improve their online visibility, attract more customers, and grow with confidence through practical, straightforward digital marketing.
